Welcome to the Microtrap group
We trap and cool both neutral atoms and ions using microfabricated traps. A major focus in this effort is to combine miniaturized atom/ion traps with micro-optics. The purpose is to efficiently defect individual atoms and their states, and to interface atoms/ions with photons.
